Melexis Development Team honored by IEEE with Jan Van Vessem award at ISSCC 2008

On Monday February 4th 2008 Dr. Christian Schott, Nicolas Simonne, Robi Racz, Angelo Manco, Marcus Gloor and Samuel Huber were honored by the IEEE with the Jan Van Vessem Outstanding Paper Award of 2007. This award recognizes the best contribution from among 70 papers accepted for presentation at the annual ISSCC (International Solid State Circuits Conference) event. The paper, “CMOS Single-Chip Electronic Compass With Microcontroller”; IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, Volume 42, Issue 12, Dec. 2007 Page(s):2923 – 2933, presents some advanced development currently underway at Sentron, A Melexis Company. These developments are focused on implementation of the Triaxistm and IMC (Integrated Magneto Concentrator) in small, efficient and cost effective compass solutions. Dr. Schott accepted the award on behalf of the team at a ceremony in San Francisco, California. The award was presented by ISSCC conference chair Timothy Tredwell.
